What to Expect (Half-Day Tour):
Pick Up: Get ready for an unforgettable journey as we pick you up in an air-conditioned vehicle between 9:00 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. from your specified accommodation. Our first stop will be in the east of Koh Samui, where we’ll gather all participants step by step until the entire travel group is complete.
Wat Plai Laem: At Wat Plai Laem, the largest Buddhist temple complex on the island, you’ll marvel at the statue of Guanyin, the goddess of mercy and compassion. Delve into the blend of Chinese-Thai beliefs showcased in the artistic Buddhist themes and architecture, which have deep-rooted traditions dating back centuries.
Viewpoint – Lad Koh: Lad Koh offers one of the most stunning viewpoints on Koh Samui, situated between Chaweng and Lamai. Here, you’ll witness an unforgettable panorama of Chaweng Beach and the mesmerizing Gulf of Thailand. Early mornings see locals bring offerings to the nearby memorial.
Hin Ta & Hin Yai: We’ll continue our journey to the renowned Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks in the southern part of the island. The bizarre rock formation resembling male and female genitalia has an intriguing prehistory, shared by our multilingual, trained tour guides on-site.
Guan Yu Shrine: The impressive Guan Yu Shrine, located on the main road between Lamai and Hua Thanon, boasts a striking 16-meter bronze war statue built in 2016 to celebrate Chinese heritage. Explore this beautiful temple complex featuring small souvenir stands and restaurants in the entrance area.
Mummified Monk – Luong Pordaeng: Immerse yourself in Thai culture with a visit to the mummified monk, Luong Pordaeng, who passed away in 1973 in a meditative sitting position. Drop Off: Around 2:30 p.m., we’ll guide you back to your designated accommodation, ensuring a safe return for all participants of the day trip, who will be dropped off step by step until everyone reaches their lodgings.
